Hey all! So, I havn't written in about 3-4 months now but I have lots of great news for you! I have been running a lot! so far here are my accomplishments:
* longest run= 4.5 miles
* weight loss= 14 pounds
* average mile time= 10 minutes
I began slowly... the first day I really started running was June 1st. My boyfriend was in town and we went to run at the park. I made it less than 1/4 of a mile and thought I was going to die. So I went the next day and the next day and didn't stop going until I met all my goals. First it was 1 mile, then 1 1/2 mile and so on. I changed my entire eating habits and began to be more concious of the things we put in our bodies everyday. I also began teaching fitness classes and attending kickboxing! I now teach a water aerobics class caled H2O Extreme, work out 4-6 days a week running at least 2 miles and doing weights and extra cardio. It has been a long struggle to get to this point and I know I still have a ways to go! The marathon is in 7 months and the wedding is in 3 months!!! My overall weight loss goal is 33 pounds which will put me at 135. I currently weigh 154, so 14 down and 19 left to go! I want to be down at least 10 more before the wedding on December 20!
I am constantly amazed at how much has changed in the past 4 months. I love going to run and everytime I hit 2 miles I am reminded of the obstacles I have overcome to get there. It gives me confidence in life to know if I want something bad enough I can make it happen. I named this blog dedication because now I feel that is something I have and will continue to work towards in all aspects of my life. Including this blog!
School has started back and I am really enjoying this semester! I have decided to work towards grad school and have subsequently dropped my only art studio class. It was a tough decidion for me to make but I am excited to be doing something different with my time in school. Now instead of working on projects I am taking notes and writing papers, but I love it! It has given me the opportunity to focus more on me and my future and what I want to do with my life. I have some new developments in the making and will be writing about them as they come, but for now I am excited to report that I am doing well, better than I have been in a long time! I have a great workout partner, Raegan, and we will be going to run at 8 tonight! =) yay!!
